The merchant's e-commerce application makes goods and services available for sale and purchase to consumer's/client via the Internet. This is accomplished by establishing a link from the e-commerce site to a payment solution such as eftpop's PinPad. The PinPad is a Flash based interface which replicates a standard eftpos handset. The consumer interacts with the merchant's Web site using a Web browser. To make a purchase and pay for goods or services, the consumer/client, after selecting a "Check Out" option from the merchants web site, then enters details of their credit or debit card by way of the pin pad authorizing the transfer of the required funds. The result of the transaction is then transmitted from EPay's secure servers to the merchant for completion of sale.
